Q: Generally how long will it take to have my website designed and be up and running?

A: This will depend on the size of each project and the time taken by the client to get back with feed back and the required information. In an ideal scenario (where all information and instant feed back is available), a standard sized website can be delivered within 2 weeks.

Q. What is a CMS or a content management system?

A: CMS is a user friendly system which comes with a web interface that allows you to update your website's content such as text, images, menu items etc using any web browser. All you need is a secure user name, password and a web browser to login to your website's content editing area. Using the CMS, you are also able add new pages, links, videos and photo galleries with limited knowledge.

Q: I already have a website with no CMS. Can ServePoint convert my current website into a CMS enabled website?

A: Yes. In most cases this is possible.

Q: I don't have time to update my contents even-though my website needs to be updated regularly.
Does ServePoint provide content update services?

A: Yes. You are able to choose from 2 content update options. Option 1, is pay as you go for the updates - This is ideal if you don't intend to commit for a regular website update service. Alternatively, option 2 is to pay either monthly or annually - This is ideal when you need your site to be updated almost daily, weekly, monthly or once every few months. This is ideal for large websites or e-commerce websites with a large online shop.

Q: What is an e-commerce website?

A: E-commerce websites allow you to sell products online and collect payment real time through your website's payment gateway. There are 2 basic modules required for a standard e-commerce system. The first module, is a shopping cart system, whilst the second module is a secure payment gateway service (In many cases a well recognised third party payment gateway service provider like PayPal or Google Checkout etc).

Q: If I need an e-commerce site,can I upgrade my existing website to an e-commerce site?

A: Yes. In most cases this is possible.

Q: Is my newly designed website going to be search engine (Google, Yahoo) friendly?

A: Yes. All websites are designed with search engine optimisation in mind. Our web designers are always up-to-date with the latest web technologies and follow search engine supportive guidelines.

Q: I don't have my website content (images, text etc) and need some help in planning my website. Can you help me to get a start so that my website will be complete and up and running soon?

A: Certainly. We will first require your text content, startup images, colour choices, marketing messages, etc for the landing page (home page) to begin with. One of our web coordinators will evaluate your design requirement to get the design concept ready. Once the design concept is finalised, we will proceed with the complete design structure of the site while you are then able to update the missing content images etc using the CMS with the help of the web coordinator.
